JACKSON, Wyo. (March 17, 2015) — Springtime in the Tetons brings longer days filled with high-elevation adventures and Snake River floats. With its Spring 2015 apparel collection, Jackson-based Stio introduces its deepest line to date, with a shared focus on alpine performance and the mountain town lifestyle.

The new CFS Collection features Stio’s proprietary Sphero HO™ fabric, a polyester/spandex blend that delivers a perfect mix of breathability, stretch and sun protection with a DWR finish for added weather protection. Designed with versatility in mind, the CFS Hooded Jacket will cut the wind on a drift boat or SUP, protect from early morning mist on the raft, and mimic every move on a shady bouldering problem. The collection also includes new CFS Board Pants as well as CFS Board Shorts, available in 19-inch and 16-inch outseam lengths. Building out the women’s CFS Collection are the CFS Crop, CFS Short and CFS Skirt.

“Living in the heart of the Tetons, we want gear that will perform for all of our favorite spring and summer activities,” states Noah Waterhouse, Stio VP of marketing & sales. “The litmus test for our team is whether a collection offers real functionality and value to high-output, technical pursuits as well as the less epic, everyday endeavors of the mountain life. This Spring 15 line passes that test with flying colors.”

On the alpine front, Stio launches the new Modis Jacket, which features a Pertex Shield® 2.5-layer waterproof/breathable nylon shell. Weighing just 11 oz. and packing down smaller than a grapefruit, the Modis is the perfect layer to pull out anytime wet weather rolls in on a spring hike, ride or run. For cold mornings and chilly nights, the Azura Insulated Jacket features 60-gram Primaloft® Gold Insulation and weighs just 13 oz.

For high-output activities and alpine training, the Second Light Jacket, Second Light Short and Second Light Skirt are perfect choices. Stio’s Meridian™ Stretch Mini-Ripstop, a 100% nylon fabric with DWR finish, makes these pieces highly water resistant and extremely breathable, while maintaining excellent wind resistance. Stio’s Second Light collection also incorporates S.Cafe®, a recycled coffee bean treatment that provides odor control and decreases drying times.
